Sleep apnea cardiovascular endpoints study (SAVE)

The SAVE Project;

  • A multi-centre, randomised, controlled trial to determine the effects of nasal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) in preventing cardiovascular (CV) disease in high risk patients with moderate-severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
  • A pivotal research programme involving sleep and CV medicine experts aimed at producing high level evidence to inform clinical decision making and future health policy in a large and increasing area of global disease burden
  • Invitations are sought from industry, professional groups and scientific funding bodies for partnerships with the academic group on this project
